Checks the floor with a straight edge before laying and recommends levelling where the deviation exceeds two millimetres. Takes care to keep door transitions and threshold profiles as unobtrusive as possible. Lists removal of the old floor and waste disposal as separate items in the quote. Also assembles cupboards, beds and wardrobes after the flooring, and never skips fixing them to the wall. In a whole flat, hands over the rooms one at a time to keep disruption to a minimum. Agrees the skirting colour with the client when choosing materials. Never lays a floor without a moisture reading first.
